Dan Perriello

Dan Perriello is a born drummer. When his parents couldn’t afford a drum set or lessons, Dan began air drumming with chopsticks, reading, watching and listening to everything he could to teach himself drums. Finally acquiring a vintage Rogers set two agonizing years later, he immediately joined his first band and played his first gig within months. In the nearly 30 years since, Dan has performed with countless top Washington, DC musicians at major venues such as the 9:30 Club and Nationals Park. He has recorded several EPs and full-length albums, had his songs licensed to television shows, and won a Washington Area Music Association “WAMMIE” award. As excited to play now as when he got his first drum set, Dan currently shares his dedication to the drums as a passionate educator and performer in the Washington, DC area.
